The Role:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing project, commercial, logistics and administrative support across multiple operational programs.
The role supports Program Managers and Project Managers with travel coordination, mobilisation logistics, permitting, supplier cost gathering, quote preparation, invoice review, project documentation, delivery follow-up and closeout activities.
The position plays an important role in maintaining project continuity, reducing administrative load on senior staff, and ensuring routine project requirements are progressed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with operational needs.
The position is based in St Marys, South Australia.
Qualifications:
Degree, certificate, diploma or equivalent experience in project coordination, business administration, logistics, operations, marine services, construction, resources, environmental management or a related field.
Current Australian driver's licence.
Experience & Technical Skills:
Minimum two years' experience in managing projects and coordinating operations to meet client requirements and specifications.
Understanding and adherence to Quality/WHSE policy, procedures, and instructions.
Quote and tender experience beneficial Training or experience in procurement, contract administration, estimating or commercial support.
Knowledge of permitting, approvals, environmental compliance, native title or marine park approval processes, particularly in an Australian project environment.
Experience or training in stakeholder engagement, particularly with First Nations stakeholders or external authorities.
Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft 365 application suite with Microsoft PowerBI experience an advantage, but not essential.
Ability to use project, document management, travel booking, finance or ERP systems, or the ability to quickly learn internal systems.
Project management experience including scientific report writing (preferred).
Basic scientific knowledge, marine industries desirable.
Other Skills:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from the front line to the boardroom.
Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously
Ability to remain objective and proactive in the face of operational pressure or cultural resistance.
