Role Overview
The positions' primary purpose is to work as part of the Services team to provide a level of technical services relating to Motive Battery building and servicing to EnerSys quality standards, and that all stakeholders expectations are met in a safe & efficient manner.
Main ResponsibilityLoad and unload service vehicle, receive, count and store stock, and record data using computer and manual systems
Undertake delivery activities associated with Motive Power business.
This involves the assembly, loading and unloading of batteries using crane/Hiab and transportation to customer premises as instructed
Account for all stock under your control, maintain and report accurate stock levels, verify inventory by comparing to physical counts of stock, investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
Ensure all labour, materials, products, parts, used on service or warranty jobs are booked out by computer or manual systems
Use equipment provided including forklift equipment in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and as per safety guidelines
Liaise with courier and delivery companies where required
When required, pack and unpack goods in an orderly and accessible manner or according to advised systems
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps or other labelling equipment as required
Complete maintenance logs and conduct daily / weekly inspections as requested on Stores equipment and facilities and motor vehicle, e.g. forklift, trolleys, pathways,
exit access etc to ensure that compliant and safe operating standards are maintained
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety and company regulations
Determine proper storage methods in vehicle, identification and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor
Keep service vehicle in good order, clean and report any damage or issue to supervisor
Advise supervisor when service vehicle is due for maintenance service
Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors as directed
Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued from your service vehicle
Confer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability
Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock in your vehicle
Use safe handling methods when handling any equipment
Provide assistance or direction to other staff
Rebuilding of Motive Power Batteries as required by following the provided bill of materials to ensure all batteries and chargers are built to meet customer expectations and to EnerSys quality standards
Servicing and testing of Motive Power batteries as required
Assist in identifying Non-Conforming Product (NCP) and ensuring it is moved to a quarantined area when identified and cannot be misused in production
Follow battery maintenance programs to ensure all battery products are kept at a high state of charge to prolong battery shelf life
Shall adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures including identification and removal of all possible hazards while enforcing safe work practices

Education / Vocational RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
Forklift Licence
A Current Australian Driver's Licence - preferably MR level
Very good spoken and written English
Some technical or trades background would be advantageous to enable the candidate, with appropriate training, to be able to support the Motive Power activities, in particular the building and transportation of batteries for Motive Power customers;
Practical experience in work place safety
Computerised systems experience
Manual handling and OHS knowledge
Good interpersonal skills
Delivery of excellent customer service and a proactive approach to problem solving
Able to multi-task and time-manage effectively
Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Results orientation and ability to achieve desired results in a professional manner within agreed deadlines
Flexibility with working hours including the ability to work after hours and travel locally if required

Truck license to operate Hino 300 (desired)
