Stuck drafting the same templated job over and over for a company so big you never see it actually get built?
Or maybe you're the one holding admin, quotes and drawings together with no real say in how the job comes together?
If your current drafting role feels like a conveyor belt — churn out the drawing, hand it off, never hear about it again — this isn't that.
Hills Robes & Screens has been family-run since ****.
The Managing Director works alongside the team daily — there's no layer of management between your drawing and the factory floor.
What you draft today gets cut, built and installed by people you actually know, often within days.
We're small on purpose: a young, growing crew that backs each other up.
We need a Draftsperson to cover maternity leave from 10 August ****.
You'll draft wardrobes and joinery in Mozaik, produce cut lists, and help estimate real jobs — work that goes straight into production, not a queue.
This starts as fixed-term cover, but we're growing.
The right person has a genuine path to an ongoing seat, with room to move into senior drafting or project estimating from there.
What I need from you:
· Experience with Mozaik or comparable drafting/CAD software.
· Comfortable estimating and pricing joinery projects.
· Confident in Excel and across the Microsoft Office suite.
· Experience with a job management system (JMS) — a solid plus.
· Accurate, detail-focused, and able to work to production deadlines.
· Background in cabinetmaking, joinery or a related trade preferred.
If this sounds like your kind of drafting job, send your resume to ****** and tell us in a few lines why you're the right fit.
We read every application.
Not you, but know a drafter who'd thrive here?
Forward this on — we'd rather hire someone you vouch for than a stranger off a job board.
