About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Fruit & Veg Department Manager to join our Spudshed team located at our Morley Store.
As a Fruit & Veg Department Manager, you will bring strong leadership skills, a focus on driving operational excellence, and the ability to lead and develop a high performing team.
Our aim is to make our Customers and Employees experience at Spudshed a welcoming and engaging one!
Responsibilities:
Fruit & Veg Department Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Meet rostering requirements, daily sales targets, and expense controls.
Monitor quality control, wastage, and shrinkage.
Bringing awareness to the team about seasonal, environmental, or current quality-related issues.
Stock management, checking deliveries to ensure store requirements are fulfilled.




Proactively meeting, improving, and engaging the team on store presentation standards.
Supporting customers' needs through excellent service.
Support Fruit & Veg department as required.
About you:
Extensive knowledge of Fruits and Vegetables is a must!
Available early mornings and weekends
Experience with direct suppliers and purchase orders, essential.
Physically fit - regular heavy lifting/bending.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be prepared to work hands on within our Fruit and Veg sections
Strong analytical and problem solving.
Robust leadership skills.
Weekend availability.
