About the role
Cardinia Waters Retirement Village is seeking an experiencedRetirement Village Managerto lead our vibrant community in Pakenham, Victoria.
This is a full time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents whilst driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our retirement village.
As Village Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, administration, and financial performance of the village, ensuring we deliver exceptional service and maintain the highest standards.
This role is central to our mission of providing a thriving, supportive environment where residents can enjoy their retirement years with dignity, independence and connection.
Key responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of village operations, including budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure sustainability
Lead, manage and develop a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring performance standards are met
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction, engagement and wellbeing across the community
Manage resident relations and complaints, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and professionally whilst maintaining strong community relationships
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and retirement village standards
Oversee maintenance and facilities management, ensuring the village environment is safe, clean, well-maintained and accessible for all residents
Oversee and manage the Cardinia Waters Wetlands, and its diverse native fauna and flora




Liaise with external stakeholders including local council, service providers, health professionals and community organisations
Prepare reports and present key performance metrics to senior management and the Committee
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience in retirement village management, or a similar management role
Proven track record of successfully managing operations and budgets in a similar environment
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to recruit, motivate, mentor and manage teams effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, families and external stakeholders
Sound knowledge of retirement village legislation, contracts, regulations and best practice standards relevant to Victoria
Demonstrated financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
Commitment to resident wellbeing, with a genuine passion for supporting older adults




Computer literacy and proficiency with relevant software systems and reporting tools
Desirable: Experience with health and safety management systems, experience working within Association Management Structures, quality assurance processes, and community engagement initiatives
