Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Painter to join our Cairns based team on a full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience in painting aircraft exteriors, interiors, and components to meet high-quality standards.
Attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
Mix and apply paint according to specifications, ensuring color match and consistency.
Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, and rollers to achieve desired finish.
Perform touch-up and detail work to ensure a flawless final product.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain painting equipment and tools in positive working condition.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Competencies: 1. Experience:



Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft painting or a related field.
2. Knowledge: Understanding of aircraft painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
3. Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise and meticulous work to achieve high-quality results.
4. Color Matching: Skill in matching paint colors and ensuring uniformity across aircraft surfaces.
5. Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
6. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals.
7. Time Management: Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
8. Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
9. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues related to painting processes and equipment.
10. Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to convey instructions, updates, and concerns to team members and supervisors.
Education and Certification: Completion of a formal training program in aircraft related safety procedures.
Certification in aircraft painting or related field.
