Bakers Delight is seeking skilled and passionateBakers and Apprentice Bakersto join our team at our Cockburn Central location in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities
Prepare, mix and knead dough using traditional and modern baking techniques to produce high-quality bread, pastries and baked goods
Operate and maintain bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, dividers and other specialist machinery
Follow established recipes and baking procedures to ensure consistency and quality in all products
Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve the desired colour, texture and flavour profiles
Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation, ensuring fresh ingredients are always available
Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines
Support the development and testing of new products and recipes
For apprentices: develop foundational baking knowledge and practical skills under the guidance of experienced bakers




Maintain a clean, organised and safe working setting at all times
What we're looking for
For experienced bakers: proven experience working in a professional bakery environment, with demonstrated expertise in bread making, pastry production and other baked goods
For apprentices: enthusiasm for learning the baking trade, with a willingness to develop new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment
A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to achieve relevant qualifications
Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of baking work, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistently high-quality products
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production schedules
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and collaborative attitude
Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work early morning shifts as required
Desirable: relevant qualifications such as Food Safety Supervisor certification or Certificate II/III in Baking
Desirable: experience with specific baking techniques such as sourdough, laminated doughs or artisan methods
