About the role
Plastec Australia is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our team in Caloundra, QLD.
This role will involve the transportation of goods and materials between our internal departments, as well as occasional deliveries to clients across the region using our well-maintained trucks.
The successful candidate will play a vital part in our customer service chain, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our products.
What you'll be doing
Safely operating and maneuvering trucks of various sizes to deliver goods on time and in good condition
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
Maintaining accurate delivery records and logs
Adhering to all relevant road transport regulations and safety protocols
Providing exceptional customer service to our clients
Assisting with loading and unloading of goods as required
Pack orders as per the picking slip allocation
Process each order as per the packaging guidelines at a consistently high work rate
Quality checks
Packing and labelling goods
Ensure orders are picked in transport order as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor
Stock replenishment
Receipting inwards goods
NOTE** The primary role is truck driver, warehouse hand is secondary to the truck driver position
What we're looking for
A valid Medium Rigid (MR) driver's license
Forklift license; ability to load and unload trucks
A pleasant communicator with a strong customer service focus
At least 2 years of experience driving trucks in a commercial or industrial setting




A strong commitment to safety and a proven track record of protected driving
Excellent time management and organisational skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
Essential skills, abilities and attributes:
Positive attitude
Ability to multi-task
Physically fit, able to manage lifting of weights up to 25kgs
Confident communicator who can think on their feet
Knowledge of assembly line processes/production highly regarded
Forklift license may be beneficial but not necessary
Well organised and experienced in problem solving
