We are currently seeking multiple Casual Recycling Hands/Sorters to join our team in Townsville on an afternoon shift roster.
Stable Ongoing Work Available
This is a casual position with ongoing work available and the potential to transition to permanent employment for the right candidates.
Shift Details:
Monday to Friday
4:00pm – 9:00pm (5-hour shifts)
About the Role
As a Recycling Hand/Sorter, you will play an important role in helping us recover valuable resources and create a more sustainable future.
Your responsibilities will include:
Sorting recyclable materials from a conveyor belt
Removing contaminants and waste to prevent damage to plant equipment and recyclable products
Identifying and sorting materials into designated areas based on type, size, condition, and colour
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work setting in accordance with WHS/OHS requirements
Assisting with general labouring duties throughout the plant as required
Reporting safety hazards, equipment issues, or operational concerns to management promptly
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Possess a positive, reliable,
and proactive attitude
Forklift Licence and Front end loader ticked desirable
Enjoy hands-on, physical work
Be able to work effectively as part of a team
Be flexible to work additional shifts, including weekends, if required
