This is an in-house, permanent part-time position managing bookkeeping and payroll requirements for a portfolio of small-business clients across a range of industries.

About the Position
This role would suit an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys the variety of working across multiple businesses,
while also benefiting from the skilled support and structure of an established accounting firm.
It will suit someone seeking a long-term role that fits around family and personal commitments.
This is not simply a data-entry position.
You will work closely with our accountants and directors to ensure our clients' records are accurate, current and ready for their compliance and advisory work.
Depending on your experience, you may also assist with management reporting, client training, systems improvements and the continued development of our bookkeeping services.
Your duties will include bookkeeping services for our small business clients but not be limited to:
Managing bookkeeping requirements for multiple clients across different industries
Bank reconciliations, data entry, software support and training
Accounting software conversions
Processing payroll and assisting with payroll setup
Preparation of BAS, IAS & Superannuation obligations
Working closely with accountants to ensure client files are accurate and ready for year-end work
Preparation of Management Reports and working closely with the directors
Ability to effectively communicate with and manage clients
Assist the firm director in establishing a bookkeeper division and working together to create processes and best practices
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
Minimum 2 + years working as a bookkeeper
Qualified or progressing toward Cert IV in Bookkeeping
Previous experience within an accounting or bookkeeping practice, although strong multi-entity experience will also be considered
Xero Certification
Ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative team
Excellent prioritisation, time management and organisational skills
High level of integrity with the ability to safeguard private and confidential information
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Experience preparing management reports, budgets or cash-flow reports, is highly regarded but not required.
