We're partnering with a long-established Australian organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer to join their close-knit payroll team based in Fremantle.
Working closely with the Payroll Supervisor, you'll play a key role in delivering payroll for 1,500+ employees as part of a team of five, taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing while providing senior support across the team.
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant payroll services while supporting the wider business with expert payroll advice.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to join a stable business that genuinely values collaboration, accuracy and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
Supporting the Payroll Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the payroll function
Reviewing and checking payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance
Interpreting and applying Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
Processing superannuation, PAYG,



payroll tax and Single Touch Payroll
Managing terminations, leave reconciliations, allowances, deductions and back pay calculations
Assisting and supporting Payroll Officers within the team
Preparing payroll reports, reconciliations and supporting audit requirements
About You:
You'll be an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in delivering an outstanding payroll service.
3-5+ years' experience in end-to-end payroll
Strong knowledge of Contemporary Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
Experience working within a complex payroll environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Experience using UKG (highly regarded)
