The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Mining Solutions team at our Regency Park workshop.
In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe disassembly, inspection, rebuild and repair of mining components and associated equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards while meeting customer expectations.
Working in a well-equipped workshop alongside an experienced team, you'll play an important role in delivering quality component rebuilds that support some of Australia's largest mining operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Safely disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding and repairing mining components.
Recording detailed strip-down and rebuild information to support accurate customer quotations.
Inspecting components for wear, damage and determining repair or reusability requirements.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions.
Completing quality documentation, repair records and timesheets accurately.
Ensuring all work complies with HEPI procedures, quality standards and safety requirements.
Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and non-conformances.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across safety,



quality and productivity.
Assisting with training and mentoring team members where appropriate.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Mechanical Trade Certificate with fitting experience.
High Risk Work License (Forklift).
Experience working within heavy engineering, mining, mobile equipment or a similar industry.
Experience rebuilding heavy mobile equipment components (highly regarded but not essential).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
A positive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork and safety.
The ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
