Great opportunity to join a Tier 2 contractor with excellent presence in the Defence, heritage, industrial and commercial sectors with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects.
A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing business.
As Project Manager, you will need to have solid commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming / planning experience (MS Project) as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
They work across refurbishments, repairs, remediation, demolition, façade, upgrades, HVAC etc. on buildings and civil works as well.
Will be running projects from smaller up to $5m+ with some projects going to $20m+.
Projects are generally Industrial, Defence or Commercial in nature, experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar across buildings and infrastructure will be an advantage.
Years of experience:5 to 15 years +
Responsibilities include but not limited to:Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to teamProject delivery from inception through to completionEnsure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programmeIdentify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when requiredManage project expenditure and cash flowManagement and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projectsDesign managementManage subcontractors on siteManage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the projectProduce progress reportsDeliver and manage client expectations
Qualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similarMinimum 5 - 15 years+ experience in the successful delivery of refurb / new build or remedial projects from start to finishProven leadership ability in building and motivating teams to deliver high quality projectsDetailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standardsStrong planning and project financial reporting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal skillsExperience with Microsoft Office suiteConstruction Safety Induction (white) card
