Marrone Fresh is seeking a dedicatedFarm Machinery Maintenanceprofessional to join our team at our Penfield Gardens facility.
This is afull-time positionbased inPenfield Gardens SA ****.
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse range of agricultural machinery and equipment that is essential to our farming operations.
Your expertise will ensure that our equipment remains in optimal working condition, minimising downtime and maximising productivity across our farm.
This is a hands-on position that plays a critical part in supporting the smooth running of our agricultural business.
What you'll be doing
Performing routine maintenance and servicing on all farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and specialised agricultural equipment
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in farm equipment and implementing effective repairs
Maintaining detailed maintenance records and logs for all machinery and equipment serviced
Identifying potential issues before they become major problems through regular inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
Operating and testing machinery to ensure repairs have been completed successfully and equipment is functioning safely
Liaising with equipment suppliers and manufacturers to source parts and obtain technical support when needed
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance activities
Training and assisting other team members in basic machinery care and maintenance procedures
Managing spare parts inventory and maintaining organised storage of tools and equipment
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications or extensive experience in farm machinery maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related agricultural discipline
Proven hands-on experience maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery and equipment in a farm or similar operational setting
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex equipment faults
Competence in both mechanical and electrical maintenance work
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to agricultural equipment operation and maintenance
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks and priorities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced farming environment
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the local area if required
Physical fitness and capability to perform demanding manual work
Preferred: Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and computerised farm management systems
Preferred: Certification in agricultural machinery maintenance or equivalent recognised qualifications
