We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Assistant Store Manager who thrives on leading people, driving operational excellence, and creating an exceptional customer experience.
This is more than a supervisory role.
You will be instrumental in ensuring the store operates efficiently every day by leading the team, delegating effectively, maintaining high standards, and supporting the Store Manager to deliver outstanding results.

Reporting into the Store Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Store Operations & Team Leadership
Support day-to-day store operations of the store, ensuring every trading day runs smoothly and efficiently.
Coach and motivate team members to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
Lead the team on the shop floor, maintaining energy, focus, high performance throughout the day within the team by driving a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Delegate daily tasks clearly, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed accurately and to a high standard and provide real time feedback.
Ensure smooth opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and store security.
Identify priorities, solve problems quickly and make sound operational decisions.
Support the Store Manager in implementing store initiatives,



promotions, and operational improvements and ensuring that stock and merchandise is available for customers.
Ensure all company processes, policies, safety standards, and procedures are consistently followed.
Lead the store confidently in the Store Manager's absence.
Support the Store Manager to create a positive, accountable, and customer-focused team culture aligned to our company values.
Sales & Customer Experience
Provide expert advice on workwear, PPE, and uniforms.
Create a welcoming and professional experience for every customer, ensuring everyone who walks through our doors feels valued, listened to, and supported.
Understanding our customers' needs to ensuring every person leaves with the right solution, confidence in their purchase, and a positive impression of the business.
Build strong relationships with retail and business customers.
Drive sales through active selling, promotions, and product knowledge.
Assist with resolving customer enquiries and issues promptly, ensuring a positive outcome and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Ensuring that the customer is followed up and we consult with them for example quotes, ordering, logo's, etc.
Ensuring customer follow up at all times in a timely manner.
Stock, Merchandising & Financials
Take ownership of daily stock management, including receipting, inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, and minimising stock discrepancies.
Ensure the store is visually appealing, well-merchandised, and promotional displays are executed to company standards.
Contribute to sales growth and performance targets.
Maintain accurate cash handling, banking, reconciliations, and ensure loss prevention procedures are consistently followed.




Monitor daily store performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.
Take ownership of daily store standards, ensuring the sales floor, stockroom, and displays are maintained to a high standard at all times.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a retail leadership, supervisory or Assistant Store Manager role.
A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team while creating a positive and accountable team culture.
Proficient with retail operation systems and MS Outlook.
Operational leadership skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, delegate and ensure daily tasks are completed to a consistently high standard.
Confidence making day-to-day operational decisions and taking ownership of store performance in the Store Manager's absence.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to provide clear direction, coaching and constructive feedback to the team.
Strong customer service and sales ability
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Attention to detail across stock, processes, and store presentation
Experience in workwear, apparel, or trade-based retail (highly regarded)

Qualifications & Pre-Employment Requirements
Desirable Qualifications
Certificate III or IV in Retail, Leadership or a related discipline (desirable).
Current First Aid Certificate (desirable).
Pre-Employment Requirements
Evidence of the right to work in Australia (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have a valid work visa).
Satisfactory professional reference checks.
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
Pre-employment physical check with the ability to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role, including manual handling, prolonged standing, climbing ladders and stairs.
