The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter/ machinist to join our growing team in the role of a Pump Technician.
Ideally, the role is suited to someone with a strong background working on process pumps, particularly centrifugal types and other rotating equipment.
Capability in mechanical seal service and repair, laser alignment and/ or welding will be highly regarded.
Our expectations are that the successful candidate will demonstrate a great attention to detail and take ownership of the quality of their work.
This role would suit a motivated self-starter that requires little direction, has a hands-on approach, is able to trouble shoot, resolve problems and is able to manage and prioritize competing work demands.
Key Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2+ years' post apprenticeship in working on process pumps, particularly centrifugal pumps and other rotating equipment would be highly regarded.




Experience in Mechanical Seal service and repair, Laser alignment and TIG/ARC Welding will also be highly regarded
A strong focus on quality, attention to detail and safety
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
Fault finding and trouble shooting skills
Experience in a service-related industry
To be successful in this role you will:
Hold an Australian recognised trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter/ machinist
Demonstrate a strong focus on high quality work and attention to detail
Be pro-active and self-motivated with a drive to constantly improve and learn
Be able to work autonomously or as part of a team
Hold a current HRW Licence Forklift, Crane or Dogging & Rigging will be highly regarded
Be an Australian Citizen or hold permanent Australian residency
Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
Hold a current (C class) unrestricted Australian drivers' license
Have a strong personal commitment to workplace safety
