About the Role:
Accurate and timely coordination and processing of Ministerial
correspondence, ensuring compliance with established records
management policies and procedures.
Effective maintenance and use of records management systems,
supporting consistency and integrity of information.
Coordination and tracking of Ministerial requests, briefings and
correspondence to support timely progression of work.
Provision of high-quality administrative support and procedural
guidance to staff and stakeholders regarding correspondence
handling and office processes.
Efficient coordination of administrative workflows, including
monitoring task progress and supporting workload distribution
within the team.
Provision of administrative support across office functions,
including financial administration, meetings, facilities, and
general office operations.
Professional handling of enquiries from members of the public, MPs,
and other stakeholders, ensuring appropriate escalation in line
with established processes.
Contribution to the review and improvement of administrative
systems, procedures and processes to support efficiency and
compliance.

Contract:
12 month contract
Essential Criteria:
Proven ability to work within a team and develop effective
communication, establish networks, and meet deadlines whilst
maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Is able to accurately, clearly and concisely prepare
documents such as agendas, memos, letters and
spreadsheets.
Is effective in checking own work accurately for correct
spelling and formatting in line with the expected
standards.
Uses common sense and past experiences to approach problems
and provide options to their manager for resolving the
issue.
Working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and
procedures, or the ability to apply and interpret them in a
defined context.
Basic knowledge and understanding of the Westminster system
of government and the role of the Deputy Premier, Cabinet,
Parliament and the Governor.
Special Conditions:
May be required to participate in responses to state
emergencies or associated duties.
You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or
provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows
you to work in Australia without restrictions.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Prior to being employed,



the successful candidate will be
required to provide a valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal
History Check (NCCHC), which is required to be renewed every
three years.
DEW will cover the cost of renewal.
A successful applicant who is not currently employed by the
Department for Environment and Water will be required to have an
original photo identification document sighted and provide a
valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issued
within the last 12 months.
Remuneration:
ASO4 $82,212 min - $86,180 max p.a.
