This is a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys working on a variety of residential and commercial construction projects.
As a Carpenter , you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry services across a diverse range of residential and commercial construction projects.
The role involves undertaking all aspects of carpentry, including framing, fixing, lock-up, maintenance and repair work.
You will interpret construction drawings and specifications, construct, install and repair timber structures and fittings, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, project specifications and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

Task & responsibilities Main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Interpret architectural drawings, building plans and specifications to determine project requirements and construction methods.
Measure, mark, cut and assemble timber, wood products and other construction materials using hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
Construct and install timber wall frames, roof frames, floor systems,



roof trusses and structural components for residential and commercial buildings.
Carry out first-fix (framing) carpentry work, including the installation of structural frameworks in accordance with approved plans and building codes.
Perform second-fix (fixing) carpentry work, including the installation of doors, door frames, windows, skirting boards, architraves, staircases, handrails and internal timber finishes.
Complete lock-up stage carpentry by installing external doors, windows, cladding, fascia, eaves and other external timber components to secure the building structure.
Undertake maintenance, repair and renovation work on existing residential and commercial properties, including replacing damaged timber structures and fixtures.
Install timber flooring, decking, pergolas, fencing, partitions, ceilings and other internal and external carpentry features.
Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and project specifications.
Select, maintain and safely operate carpentry tools, machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
Estimate material requirements, minimise waste and maintain appropriate stock levels for ongoing construction projects.
Work collaboratively with builders, supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
Identify construction defects or installation issues and carry out corrective work to achieve the required quality standards.
Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies by maintaining a safe, clean and organised worksite and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).




Assist in supervising and providing on-the-job guidance to apprentices, labourers and junior carpenters where required.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and any variations or site issues encountered during construction.
Perform any other duties reasonably directed by management that are consistent with the position of Carpenter.
Qualification & experience Minimum Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent relevant qualification.
Current White Card (preferred).
Valid driver's licence is an advantage.
Skills & Experience Required Minimum 1 year of relevant carpentry experience.
Sound knowledge of carpentry techniques, building materials, and construction practices.
Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
