About the
Opportunity
Multiple positions available (ongoing and term – up to
12 months)
As a Taxation Officer (ASO3), you are responsible for delivering
accurate, timely and compliant taxation outcomes, including the
completion of agreed caseload of tax returns, PAYG instalments and
request for amendments in a timely and efficient manner.
You will
be accountable for preparing tax returns in accordance with income
tax legislation and ensure work is completed to a high standard of
accuracy, quality and compliance optimising tax outcomes for
customers.
The role also follows established risk and compliance
management controls and supports the application of business
process and systems improvement initiatives.
The ideal person
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Sound knowledge and experience in the preparation of tax
returns
Working knowledge and understanding of taxation law and
regulations
Flexibility, adaptability and versatility of approach to
handle changing work requirements
Good organisation skills and the ability to determine
priorities, manage high volumes of work, organise workloads,
set targets and meet deadlines with high level of accuracy
About the
Business
The Office of the Public Trustee (Public Trustee) operates as
part of the Attorney-General's Department and was established on 1
January ****,



under the Public Trustee Act **** (SA).
It offers
services to South Australians, including will preparation, powers
of attorney, and administration of deceased estates and
trusts.
The Public Trustee is also responsible for managing
the personal, legal, and financial affairs of individuals who are
unable to handle these matters on their own.

Special Conditions for
Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate
clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
Successful applicants
will be provided further information if an interview is requested.

any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so
will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Some out of hours work may be required.
