About the Role
Perth North Caravan Repairs is a well-established authorised caravan repair workshop in Landsdale, Perth.
Under new ownership, we are building a high-performance team and looking for an experienced Leading Hand to be the technical backbone of our workshop floor.
This is a genuine working leading hand role — you will spend the majority of your time on the tools completing repairs, while also providing technical guidance to other technicians, overseeing work quality, and supporting the day-to-day running of the workshop.

Responsibilities & Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out high-quality caravan repairs across all areas of the workshop — structural, electrical, plumbing, and fit-out
• Re-sheeting and repair of roof, wall, and floor panels including aluminium cladding and composite board
• Fault diagnosis, repair, and installation of 12V electrical systems including solar, battery management, and lighting
• Appliance repairs and replacements — fridges, hot water systems, air conditioning units, stoves
• Window and skylight repair, replacement, and sealing; door and hatch adjustment and repair
• Chassis and suspension checks; coupling and hitch repairs; wheel bearing and brake maintenance
• Sealant, resealing, and waterproofing work including pressure testing for water ingress
• Provide technical guidance and day-to-day direction to workshop technicians and trade assistants




• Check completed work for quality before job sign-off
• Liaise with owner on job priorities, workflow, and scheduling
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Assist with warranty claims for Jayco, Trakmaster, Zone RV, and Crusader where required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Proven, hands-on experience in caravan and RV repair — this is not a stepping-stone role
• Strong structural repair skills: wall and roof panel removal and re-sheeting, delamination repair
• 12V electrical competency: solar systems, Anderson plugs, battery monitors, LED conversions, fault tracing
• Appliance knowledge: Dometic, Thetford, Truma, Carafan or equivalent brands
• Confident with sealing and waterproofing techniques — understanding of how caravans fail and why
• Experience working with or understanding of insurance and warranty claim requirements preferred
• Ability to work independently and provide clear guidance to less experienced staff
• Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience — Certificate III in Automotive or related trade well regarded
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

Perth North Caravan Repairs has been a trusted name in the Perth caravan repair industry for years, operating from our fully equipped workshop at 5/36 Attwell St, Landsdale.
We are authorised repairers for Jayco, Trakmaster, Zone RV, and Crusader, and an approved insurance repairer.
The business has recently moved into new ownership with a focus on investment in the team, the workshop, and the customer experience.
We have a loyal customer base, consistent forward bookings, and a strong reputation we intend to build on.
We operate Monday to Thursday, 730am to 4pm.
Friday , 730am to 2pm No weekends, no on-call, no overnight travel.
