About the role
We are seeking an experiencedGeneral Practitionerto join our team at Coomera Town Medical Centre, based in Canungra QLD ****.
This is afull-time positionoffering the opportunity to provide high-quality primary care services to a diverse patient population.
As a General Practitioner, you will play a vital role in our practice, delivering comprehensive medical care, building long-term patient relationships, and contributing to the overall health outcomes of our community.
This position offers clinical autonomy within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
What you'll be doing
Conducting consultations with patients presenting with acute and chronic health conditions
Performing physical examinations and diagnostic procedures relevant to general practice
Prescribing medications and developing individualised treatment plans
Providing preventative health advice and health promotion activities
Managing chronic disease conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease
Undertaking minor surgical procedures as appropriate to general practice




Maintaining accurate and timely medical records and documentation
Collaborating with allied health professionals and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care
Participating in practice meetings and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Adhering to all relevant medical regulations, professional codes of conduct and practice policies
What we're looking for
A current General Practitioner qualification recognised in Australia, with registration with the Australian Medical Council (AMC) or equivalent
A valid Australian General Practice registration with AHPRA
Completion of medical degree and satisfactory completion of required training and qualifications in general practice
Strong clinical knowledge and competence in managing a broad range of acute and chronic presentations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
A patient-centred approach to care with demonstrated commitment to quality and safety
Organisational and time management skills to manage a busy clinical workload effectively
Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and continuing medical education




Experience working within a general practice setting is desirable
A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
