About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focusedSideloader Operatorto join our team.
The successful applicant will operate to safely load, transport, and unload containers across various customer sites and transport depots.
You will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections, securing loads correctly, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company policies and the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
Key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
· Adhering to NSS's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines at all times
· Perform client direct deliveries to designated locations.
· Operate prime movers and other vehicles and equipment such as the sideloader efficiently and safely.
· Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
· Maintain the condition of vehicles and plant under your care.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, fatigue management, heavy vehicle operating guidelines, loading requirements, axle weights, and vehicle-specific permits.
About You
We are looking for candidates who meet the following essential requirements:
· CurrentHC or MC Driver Licence
· DG Drivers Licence desirable but not essential.
· CurrentSideloader Operator competency/experience.
· Strong ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to task resolution.
· Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
· Ability to work effectively within a small team.
· Regular drug and alcohol testing is conducted.
· Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
· Must be physically fit, with positive overall health to meet the demands of the role.
· A licence history printout is required along with a full functional pre-employment medical assessment.
