Opening inJanuary ****, St Oscar Romero is a brand-new Catholic primary school located in the growing Ferntree Ridge estate in Drouin.
This is a rare opportunity to help establish the culture, vision and educational excellence of a new learning community from its very beginning.
Working alongside the Foundation Principal, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping a school where faith, learning and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.
About St Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School
Stage One of the school is currently under construction and includes contemporary administration and learning spaces, covered hard courts and an oval.
The school will welcome approximately100 studentsin its first year, with long-term enrolment projected to grow to around350 students.
As the41st Catholic primary school in the Diocese of Saleand the second primary school withinSt Ita's Parish, St Oscar Romero will provide high-quality Catholic education to families in the southern area of the parish.
Named after St Oscar Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador, the school draws inspiration from his enduring witness to faith, justice, compassion and service.
His legacy continues to inspire communities committed to peace, reconciliation and dignity for all.
About the Role
The Deputy Principal works in partnership with the Principal to provide strategic, educational and operational leadership across the school.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced educational leader who is committed to Catholic education and aspires to future principalship.
You will contribute to the development of a vibrant learning culture by supporting:

Employment Details
Position:Primary Deputy Principal
Commencement:27 January ****
Tenure:Three-year fixed-term leadership appointment, underpinned by ongoing employment as a teacher, with the possibility of a second leadership appointment.
Classification:Primary Deputy Principal Level 1 ****** students), in accordance with the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement ****.
Salary:$128,908 – $139,880 plus applicable superannuation and entitlements.
