About the role
We are seeking an experienced Pricing & Cost Control Analyst with a specialty in costing and pricing of Australian Defence based contracts, who is agile, dynamic and have excellent analytical skills to join the Finance Team in support of preparation of Bids and Proposals and responsible for implementing and enforcing budgetary and pricing forecasts.
The role would provide financial bid oversight through close partnership with commercial, operations, and leadership teams to influence pricing decision-making and ensure delivery against Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments.




The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with commercial acumen to translate financial insights into actionable business outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
Review Customer Requirements in collaboration with the capture team and internal functional groups and provide advice on efficient costing strategies.
Responsible for the collection, consolidation of cost estimates for services, engineering and manufacturing labor, materials, subcontracts and vendor data, parts & equipment for a wide range of proposals of varying complexity
Support compliant CASG bid and pricing strategy and adherence to Internal Cost Policies
Prepare financial cost reviews and present a Financial costed solution for approval from various stakeholders
Support evolution of costing tools and processes
Support post contract award and project baseline alignment.
Build and maintain detailed financial models to support planning cycles and strategic initiatives.
Analyze business cost drivers and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost optimization
Support long-range planning and scenario modelling
About you
To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline (CPA/CA preferred)
5–10+ years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, FP&A;, or commercial finance roles
Proficient in Defence CASG Pricing and Cost Principles




Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (advanced Excel; experience with BI tools preferred)
Proven experience in pricing strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence business outcomes
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to operate independently in a senior individual contributor capacity
Proficient in transaction ERP processing.
Prior experience with ERP– Deltek Costpoint, or equivalent would be beneficial.
Large Multi-National Corporate exposure, desirable
Experience and comfortable in working in large excel datasets
Must be flexible in a team environment
