We are currently seeking applications for suitably qualified and experiencedWelderswith extensive Industrial / Marine fabrication experience to join our great local team.
The Role
You will possess a commitment to work as a team player, be adaptable to a changing workplace, have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be prepared to work overtime and in remote locations when required to carry out the following duties;
Reading and interpreting drawings or taking verbal instructions to mark out, cut, weld and assemble steel;
Perform welding in accordance with approved weld procedures and codes;
Interpret welding symbols to ensure correct welding techniques;
Carry out basic maintenance of welding machine and equipment to keep a clean and safe work area; and




Follow all workshop and site safety requirements.
The successful candidates must have previous workshop experience and be able to demonstrate the following essential personal attributes and skills:
Sound knowledge all aspects of fabrication, including structural, plate work & piping with carbon steel & exotic materials or;
Experience working on piping jobs (MS, SS, MSCL etc)
FCAW/GTAW/MMAW welding experience
Trade Qualified
Marine Industry Experience
5+ years' trade experience
Welding to compliant codes and standards
Ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner
Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions
Confined Space Entry and Working Safely at Heights
Desirable Tickets (not essential)
Elevated Work Platform
Recognised training certification in rigging, dogging & forklift
Light Ridged Drivers licence
