About the role:
We are seeking experienced and confident Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis.
This role is ideal for individuals who are highly experienced in delivering personal care and are comfortable supporting both men and women with a wide range of intimate and complex care needs.

This is a female-only role in line with participant preferences and the personal nature of the support provided, which meets the exemption under the Sex Discrimination Act ****.
What you will be doing:
Providing high quality, 1:1 person‐centred support to Participants with diverse and complex needs.
Delivering hands-on personal care, including (but not limited to) showering, bathing, toileting, continence support, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
Supporting Participants with daily living activities such as meal preparation, mobility, and domestic tasks.
Providing high intensity care where required, including supporting Participants with complex health or mobility needs.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience and confidence in providing personal care, including all aspects of hygiene and intimate support.
A relevant qualification in Disability Support, Aged Care, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with Participants.
A compassionate, respectful approach with a genuine commitment to participant dignity and choice.
Reliable, adaptable, and tech‐savvy.
Availability to work across a 24‐hour roster, including early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Ability to undertake manual handling tasks (including but not limited to lifting, bending).
Essential criteria:
A current Australian driver's licence.
A reliable, registered and insured vehicle with roadside assistance.
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
National Police Clearance (within the last 6 months).
Full working rights in Australia.
A smartphone with internet access for work-related applications.

The Support Space provides personalised disability support to Participants across the Perth metropolitan region, from Mandurah through to Midland and surrounding areas.
As a Support Worker, you may be matched with Participants in a variety of locations based on your availability, experience, and travel preferences.
We are looking for team members who are flexible and willing to travel up to 30 minutes within our service area.
The Support Space is more than a service provider, we are a disability hub offering consulting, tutoring, support work, and nursing services.
We pride ourselves on our thoughtful matchmaking approach, ensuring Participants are paired with the right Support Workers to meet their individual needs.
