We are now seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to lead and support our kitchen brigade and elevate our restaurant to new heights.
The Role:
As our Chef e, you will be responsible for the entire culinary operation.
You will bring creativity, leadership, and a relentless pursuit of quality to our kitchen, ensuring every dish served reflects the standards of excellence associated with Lakes Resort Hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with Mavericks' standards.
Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Manage stock control, ordering, and cost management to ensure efficiency and minimal waste.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.




Work collaboratively with management to deliver a consistent and memorable dining experience
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-volume, quality-focused hotel or restaurant.
Formal culinary qualifications are highly regarded.
A creative flair and a passion for up-to-date Australian cuisine with a strong understanding of diverse culinary techniques.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
In-depth knowledge of HACCP and workplace health and safety standards.
The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
