As our Senior Event Producer, you'll play a leading role in the development, delivery and evolution of Penrith's major and community events program, including our flagship Real Festival.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine strategic thinking, creative programming and hand-on event delivery to make a meaningful impact on one of Australia's fastest-growing regions.
This role has the opportunity to lead and shape one of Western Sydney's most cutting-edge and award-winning festival programs and will provide professional development opportunities and a supportive, collaborative team environment.
In This Role, You Will
Lead the development, programming, production and delivery of major community events and festivals, including Real Festival.
Manage event planning, logistics, procurement processes, supplier contracts, budgets and event evaluation.
Collaborate with internal teams, artists, contractors, sponsors, community groups and government stakeholders to deliver exceptional event outcomes.
Contribute to the implementation of key strategic priorities identified in the Real Festival 10 Year Plan, Penrith Events Strategy and other Council initiatives.
Support community engagement activities and use feedback to continuously improve the City's event offering.

What are we looking for?
We're Looking For An Experienced Event Professional Who Is Ready To Take On Their Next Challenge And Make a Lasting Impact On Penrith's Events Landscape.
You Will Bring
Demonstrated experience planning, delivering and evaluating large-scale events, festivals or public programs.
Strong stakeholder engagement, project management and communication skills, with the ability to build productive partnerships.
Proven experience managing budgets, procurement processes and supplier contracts in an event environment.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver exceptional outcomes.
We're particularly interested in people who are motivated by creating meaningful community experiences, enjoy working collaboratively and are excited about making a visible impact across our City.

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check,



Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review to progress through the recruitment process.

Requirements
Essential
Tertiary qualification in events production, events management, arts management or other related fields
Demonstrated success in all elements of planning, marketing, delivering and evaluating large-scale events
High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
Ability to curate and program events for diverse audiences working within budget
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including stakeholder engagement and management
Demonstrated capacity to manage and monitor budgets effectively
Demonstrated experience in the procurement and management of contracts for services within an events context
Proven success in grant applications and reporting
Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
Desirable
Experience in the development of marketing and promotion campaigns
Experience in the technical production of major events and festivals
Experience in the delivery of online events and/or digital programming for events and festival
Local government experience
Summary
Penrith City Council is looking for a Senior Event Producer on a temporary basis to lead production of its flagship major festival, Real Festival and delivery of other events in its major community events portfolio.
