About the Role
Good Shepherd Support Services is seeking an experienced Rostering Coordinator to join our team.
This full-time role will be responsible for managing the complex scheduling and coordination of our team of Disability Support Workers, ensuring our clients receive the high-quality care they deserve.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role at the centre of our service delivery.
You will coordinate rosters and workforce planning for our NDIS participants and support staff across the Hunter/Central Coast region, ensuring the right person is in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
High-volume roster coordination for community and accommodation participants.
Ensure roster practices comply with award requirements.
Meet staffing targets and fill shift vacancies efficiently.
Process timesheets, leave requests, and overtime.
Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain service coverage.
Participate in rotating on-call roster.
Criteria
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to multitask under pressure.
High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Roster coordination experience, ideally in Community Services.
Knowledge of the SCHADS Award.
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
Driver Licence.
What you'll be doing
Empathy is a MUST!
Develop, maintain and optimise rosters to match client needs and employee availability
Communicate with Support Workers to coordinate shifts, leave and other scheduling requirements
Liaise with participants and their families to understand and accommodate their specific care needs
Identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or gaps in coverage
Provide administrative support, including scheduling rosters, Service Agreements and record-keeping.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our rostering processes and procedures
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a rostering or scheduling coordination role, ideally within the aged care or disability support sector
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Proficient in using rostering and scheduling software (ShiftCare is desirable)
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable members of the community
