Morgan Transport Group is seeking an experiencedHeavy Vehicle Mechanicto join our growing team inTownsville.

We operate a diverse fleet across refrigerated, general freight and linehaul operations, and we are looking for a reliable, safety-focused mechanic who takes pride in keeping equipment roadworthy, compliant and operating efficiently.
Your duties will include:
Servicing, maintenance and repairs to heavy vehicles and trailers
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance
Attending breakdowns and urgent repair work where required
Completing workshop paperwork and maintenance records accurately
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Working with the operations team to minimise downtime and keep fleet availability high
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification as aHeavy Vehicle Mechanicor similar
Experience working on heavy vehicles, trailers and fleet equipment
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of heavy vehicle safety and compliance requirements




Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail
HR licence preferred, but not essential
Forklift ticket, welding or fabrication experience highly regarded
