About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for our workforce, ensuring employees are paid accurately and in accordance with legislation, Awards, and company policies.
Working within the People & Culture team, you will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, managers, and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient and compliant payroll service.

What You'll Be Doing
Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for employees and contractors
Reviewing and verifying timesheets and payroll data for accuracy
Maintaining employee payroll records, contracts, pay rates, superannuation and banking details
Processing payroll adjustments, deductions, overtime and allowances
Preparing payroll journals and General Ledger imports
Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, Awards, taxation, superannuation and payroll tax requirements
Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and managers
Liaising with external contractors and government agencies, including the ATO, Services Australia and Centrelink
Supporting WorkCover payroll matters in collaboration with HR and WHS
Assisting with payroll audits, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives




Providing payroll guidance and support to managers across the business
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards and compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information
Strong computer skills and confidence working across payroll and Microsoft Office systems
The ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business
Experience with UKG Ready or a similar payroll system will be highly regarded.
