Luna's Gafieldis seeking a passionate and versatileBarista/Front of House (FOH) All-rounderto join our team in Garfield, VIC.
This is acasual positionthat offers flexibility whilst being integral to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
As an all-rounder, you will move seamlessly between roles—crafting specialty coffees behind the espresso machine, welcoming guests at the front of house, and supporting our fast-paced cafe/restaurant operations.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in delivering quality service.
We are open Friday & Saturday nights as well, weekend availability is a must, therefore having an RSA would be an advantage.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages and other hot and cold drinks with consistency and attention to detail
Provide warm, attentive front-of-house service to customers, taking orders accurately and handling payments
Maintain a clean, hygienic and welcoming café and service area at all times
Assist with the setup and breakdown of the service area, including restocking supplies and managing inventory.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and special requests
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations during busy service periods
Follow food/drink safety and health regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a barista or in a similar café environment is a must minimum two years experience
Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinder settings and milk-frothing techniques
Front-of-house or customer service experience in hospitality or food service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining quality standards
Flexibility to adapt between multiple roles within the same shift
Reliability and the ability to work well as part of a team
Attention to detail, particularly regarding food presentation and hygiene standards
A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customers
