Heavy Diesel Workshop Foreman | Senior Diesel Mechanic
Seeking experienced professionals for permanent full-time positions leading quality servicing and repairs of heavy diesel equipment within a well-established regional workshop team in a South East regional area of Current South Wales.
About the Heavy Diesel Workshop Foreman role
Trade qualifications and substantial experience required for this leadership role.
Hourly rate: Competitive pay based on experience and leadership ability.
$45 to $55 ph, negotiable per experience.
Location: Regional area in South East New South Wales.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-standard diagnostics, servicing and repairs on trucks, heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment.
Lead and mentor a skilled workshop team, coordinating workflow and maintaining service quality.
Manage daily operations including job prioritisation and technical guidance.
Support development and training of junior mechanics within the team.
Perform scheduled servicing, complex fault troubleshooting and urgent breakdown repairs.
Attend to field servicing and repairs at customer locations and major regional projects.
Maintain clear communication with management to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Essential criteria
Trade certification or equivalent qualification in heavy diesel mechanics or similar trade.
Proven leadership experience managing workshop teams and mechanical workloads.
Advanced diagnostic and repair skills across diesel engines, trucks and related machinery.
Strong communication and mentoring capabilities.
Permanent Resident visa status or Australian citizenship.

Additional earning potential through project-rate work (1.5x and 2x base for project rates)
Permanent full-time role with paid annual shutdown around the holiday season.
9-day fortnight post probation supporting work-life balance(RDOs)
Limited weekend duties and infrequent overtime.
7.30am to 4.30pmMonday-to-Friday working hours
Travel time covered for fieldworkas well as accommodation support for remote assignments.
Scope for extended leadership responsibilities and career development.
Relocation support may be available for suitable applicants.
