The Opportunity
We're seeking an experiencedSenior Accountantto manage a portfolio of clients and provide high-quality accounting and taxation services.
Working closely with the Practice Director, you'll enjoy genuine autonomy while remaining part of a supportive and collaborative team.
This is apermanent part-time positionoffering24 hours per week, worked acrossMonday to Thursday, with approximately6 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns
Preparation and review of BAS, IAS and GST obligations
Management of a portfolio of business and individual clients
Preparation of tax planning strategies and year-end tax advice
Providing proactive taxation and business advisory services
Liaising directly with clients and building long-term relationships




Assisting with technical taxation research where required
Working collaboratively to continually improve client outcomes
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically robust, organised and enjoys building trusted relationships with clients.
You'll ideally possess:
CPA or CA qualification (or close to completion)
Minimum5 years' Australian public practice experience
Strong Australian taxation knowledge
Experience preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for a range of entities
Experience using Xero and cloud accounting software
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Knowledge of SMSF's and experience with BGL an advantage
Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Salary
$100,000–$110,000 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) + Superannuation
Salary will be paid on apro-rata basisfor the permanent part-time hours and will be negotiated based on experience, qualifications and technical capability.
