About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Coach to join our coaching team.
This role will take primary responsibility for leading and developing our State Squad, including programming, session delivery, athlete development, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to support our Head Coach and Senior Assistant Coach across selected National Age and Open Squad sessions, providing valuable exposure to a high-performance environment and the athlete development pathway.

with genuine ownership of a key squad and the opportunity to work alongside experienced coaches within one of Northern Adelaide's leading swimming programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coach the State SquadDesign and deliver age-appropriate training programs and periodisation plansMonitor athlete progress, provide feedback, and support individual developmentFoster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing squad cultureBuild robust relationships with swimmers, parents, coaches, and club stakeholdersAttend targeted competitions and support swimmers at eventsAssist with National Age and Open Squad sessions as requiredSupport broader program initiatives, including athlete retention, recruitment, and club promotionsEnsure all coaching activities are delivered in accordance with club standards, policies and safety requirements
About You
You are an enthusiastic coach who is passionate about competitive swimming and developing young athletes.
You enjoy building positive relationships, creating engaging training environments, and helping swimmers achieve their potential both in and out of the pool.
You will bring:
Australian Coaching Licence or equivalentProvide First Aid CertificationA minimum of 2 years' experience coaching squads and state-level swimmersStrong technical knowledge of stroke development and competitive swimmingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA collaborative, proactive, and professional approachFlexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and competitions as required
