About the Role
This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership role with regular site presence.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Mayfield Industries, you will lead LV/MV installation, testing and commissioning activity across the East Coast, work alongside our existing SA-based teams, and represent Mayfield Industries to clients as the local team grows.
Because you're building this SA footprint rather than joining an established branch, you'll have genuine day-to-day autonomy, backed remotely by our WA leadership rather than an on-site technical manager.
In year one, success looks like a credible LV/MV installation and testing offering across SA and the East Coast, a first wave of trusted client relationships, and a team growing with clear, documented ways of working.
Duties
Plan and perform LV/MV testing and commissioning using equipment such as Omicron (CMC/CPC series) — including protection relay testing, primary/secondary injection and circuit breaker timing analysis
Lead safety, quality and compliance across service and project activities
Supervise installation and commissioning activities on projects, and provide advanced fault-finding and technical support across LV/MV systems, switchboards, generators and UPS
Coordinate maintenance, breakdown response, commissioning and fault rectification works
Ensure compliance with Eastern States Electrical Regulations, AS/NZS **** and testing requirements
Review and approve statutory and compliance documentation as required under Eastern States Electrical Regulations
Provide technical supervision and quality oversight of testing and commissioning work performed by our existing SA-based electrician, lifting method and rigor across the team (technical oversight,



not day-to-day people management)
Build and maintain direct client relationships across SA and East Coast mining, utility and industrial sectors
Work closely with WA leadership to build out the systems, processes and headcount for a standalone SA operation
Skills & Experience
Current SA electrical license (Licensed Electrician) issued by the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) under SA's Electricity Act ****, or an equivalent license recognized under interstate reciprocal/mutual recognition licensing arrangements
Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) certification
Hands-on experience operating Omicron test equipment for LV/MV protection, commissioning or insulation testing
Strong experience in service, maintenance, testing or commissioning
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS ****) and state-specific regulatory requirements
Demonstrated experience supervising licensed and unlicensed workers
Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and representing the business directly to clients
Exposure to transportable / designed-to-order switch rooms and substations
A Construction Induction Card (White Card) and current C-Class driver's license will be required before you start — if you don't hold these yet, we're happy to help you organize them as part of the process.
