About the business
Weekaway is a well-established outdoor education and camp provider located in the beautiful Macedon Ranges.
Set on72 acresof beautiful bushland, our property offers accommodation and outdoor experiences for schools and community groups year-round.
Weekaway is equipped with numerous multipurpose facilities.
We can accommodate groups of up to 200 people across three buildings, with a large Dining/Kitchen area adjacent to the main building.
About the role
As part of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for the property's presentation, safety, and upkeep, including key duties such as grounds maintenance, machinery operation, repairs, and general upkeep.
Tasks include but are not limited to using the zero-turn mower, brush cutting, chain sawing, log splitting, painting, pressure washing, maintaining drainage systems and servicing equipment.
We are looking for a safety conscious, hard working person with a positive attitude, and who is very good with children and time management.
Successful applicant must be able to work independently and in a group workplace with excellent time management and is task orientated.
We are after someone that is willing to work in other departments as required such as helping in the kitchen or house keeping.
Our business hours fall between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday.
You can expect to be rostered for between 3-5 days per week during your trial period working towards part time/fulltime hours.

Skills and experience
Experience in grounds keeping
Experience in small building projects
Experience in basic maintenance, care and equipment servicing
Experience/skills with the following: chainsaw, bobcat, mowers, bobcat or skid steer, whipper snippers, Polaris ranger
Experience working with children would be highly regarded, as would experience in cleaning and/or hospitality.
Requirements
We're looking for a practical, reliable, and hardworkingjack-of-all-tradesto join our maintenance team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.
If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and turning your hand to just about anything, we'd love to hear from you.
Successful applicant must have, or be able to obtain before first working shift the following.
Victorian Working with Children's Check,
Food handlers certificate or willing to obtain (may be required to assist in the catering department at times).
Water qualification are desired but not required.
