The Security Technician will install, configure, and maintain electronic security systems, including access control, alarm systems, and related hardware and software.
Daily tasks include diagnosing faults, performing troubleshooting, conducting routine inspections, and documenting work to meet compliance requirements.
The role involves collaborating with project managers and clients, following occupational health and safety procedures, and supporting upgrades and integrations to ensure secure and stable system performance.




The technician will also assist with network and cybersecurity considerations related to deployed security solutions.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues in electronic security systems.Candidates should possess cybersecurity and network security skills to support secure configuration and protection of connected security devices.Candidates should possess alarm systems knowledge, including installation, testing, maintenance, and fault finding.Candidates should possess occupational health and safety awareness and the ability to follow safe work practices on-site.Experience with Gallagher EACS, Gallagher T1A, or similar electronic access control systems is highly beneficial.Relevant trade qualification, certificate, or apprenticeship in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.Ability to read technical drawings, follow installation specifications, and use diagnostic tools and test equipment.Solid communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.Current driver's license and eligibility to meet security clearance or licensing requirements as applicable.
