As you might have heard from our ads in the media, Alexander Watson is Canberra's leading specialist in Blow-In Insulation, Batt insulation systems engineered to suit Canberra's Hot-in-Summer, Cold-in-Winter climate extremes.

Position reports to:
Team Leader – this role manages the day to day work of a team, and provides you with honest, timely and experienced based guidance on what it is that you need to do and how well you are doing it.
The Role:
This is the entry level role to our business and its teams.
It will provide you with great initial training, an opportunity to learn about the business from the ground up.
The type of work that we do means that you are rarely in the one place for too long, and you get to work within a small team to deliver great results for our clients.
Working as an installer means that you are a key part of the engine room of each team.
Along with three or four others, you will help to create a comfortable and more sustainable all year-round workplace for each of our clients.

What do you need to get started as an Installer?
To be a great fit for the Installer role, you will need the following:
• a 'safety first' approach to how you do your work and how you look out for others in the team
• a strong work ethic, meaning that you like to get to work on time and work hard to support your team as it delivers quality outcomes for our clients
• an ability and willingness to learn new skills and apply them within the workplace – with proper supervision to ensure that you are safe while you get the hang of them
• ideally some prior experience in the building industry – but if you don't have this right now, we can fill in most gaps with specific on the job training
• a current White Card, a current manual drivers license and your own transport to get to and from our depot for work.
