As our Safety Advisor, you'll help build and sustain a Safety-First culture across our Tasmania operations.
Supporting projects in both Hobart and Launceston, you'll partner with project teams to provide practical advice, strengthen compliance and drive positive environment, health, safety and quality outcomes from preconstruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
• Promote and support SHAPE's Safety-First culture across projects and teams
• Provide advisory support on EHSQ systems, policies and procedures
• Conduct site inspections, observations and hazard identification activities
• Review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and ensure compliance
• Support incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
• Assist project teams with risk registers, project delivery plans and EHSQ processes
What You'll Bring
You're a practical safety professional who enjoys working closely with site teams and influencing positive safety behaviours across live construction environments.
• Qualification in Work Health and Safety or Construction Management
• Demonstrated EHSQ experience within the construction industry
• Experience with safety inspections, risk assessments and investigations
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and safe systems of work
• Ability to influence and coach project teams to improve safety outcomes
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Collaborative approach aligned with SHAPE's Safety-First culture
