About the Opportunity
As an AMS subcontractor, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of mining and industrial sites completing:
Planned shutdowns
Breakdown maintenance
Fixed plant maintenance
Structural fabrication and repairs
Conveyor and materials handling maintenance
Workshop fabrication
Project and capital works
FIFO and regional site assignments
Work is available across multiple client operations, with opportunities ranging from short-term shutdowns through to ongoing maintenance and project support.
Scope of Work
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Fabrication and welding of structural steel and fixed plant equipment
Maintenance, repair, and modification of mining and processing infrastructure
Shutdown and breakdown maintenance
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Workshop and on-site fabrication
Working safely within high-risk industrial environments
Completing work to AMS and client quality standards




Maintaining professional communication and representing AMS on client sites
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must hold:
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Fabricator
Current ABN
Appropriate Public Liability Insurance
Workers Compensation Insurance (or applicable exemption)
Current Driver's Licence
Relevant Australian working rights
Ability to pass site medicals and drug & alcohol testing
Demonstrated mining, quarrying, heavy industry or shutdown experience
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to travel and work FIFO rosters where required
Highly Regarded
