Hamilton Polished Concrete Spas Pty Ltd is seeking an experiencedFiberglass/Composite Technicianto join our team inBeerwah, QLD.
This is afull-time positionthat plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and finishing of high-quality fiberglass and composite products for our spas.
As a Fiberglass/Composite Technician, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and finishing fiberglass components to exacting standards, ensuring our products meet the quality expectations of our customers.
This role is fundamental to our production operations and directly impacts the quality and durability of our finished products.
Key responsibilities
Fabricating fiberglass components using hand lay-up, spray-up, or other composite manufacturing techniques
Preparing moulds and surfaces for fiberglass application, including cleaning, sealing, and applying release agents
Mixing resin, catalyst, and other composite materials to proper specifications
Applying gelcoat and fiberglass layers to achieve required thickness and structural integrity
Performing grinding, sanding, and finishing operations on composite products to achieve smooth, polished surfaces
Conducting quality checks and inspections of fiberglass work to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards
Repairing damaged fiberglass components using appropriate patching and restoration techniques
Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols and waste management procedures
Operating and maintaining fiberglass equipment and tools in good working condition
Collaborating with other team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements
What we're looking for
Proven experience working with fiberglass and composite materials in a manufacturing or construction environment
Solid knowledge of fiberglass fabrication techniques, including lay-up, spray-up, and finishing processes
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in fiberglass work




Experience with grinding, sanding, and polishing techniques to achieve high-quality finishes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions accurately
Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
Understanding of health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team
Relevant qualifications or certifications in fiberglass fabrication or composite manufacturing are highly desirable
