Join Our TeamWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Contracts Officer to support the governance, administration and continuous improvement of the City's procurement and contract management framework.
This role is ideal for a procurement professional with strong experience in procurement governance, contract administration, compliance monitoring, policy development and stakeholder support.
While the position provides procurement advice across the organisation, the primary focus is on ensuring robust governance frameworks, legislative compliance and contract oversight rather than the day-to-day acquisition of goods and services.
About the RoleReporting to the Coordinator Procurement & Contracts, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the City's procurement and contract management systems, policies and practices.
You will work closely with business units across the organisation to ensure procurement and contractual activities are undertaken in accordance with legislative requirements, organisational policies and best practice governance principles.
You will provide expert advice on procurement compliance, contract administration and contractor performance, while supporting the development of procurement strategies, contract management plans, training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
About YouYou are an experienced procurement or contracts skilled with a strong background in procurement governance, compliance and contract administration.
Your strengths include confidence providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, interpreting procurement regulations and supporting tender and contract management processes.
With excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you are committed to integrity, accountability and delivering best-practice procurement and contract governance outcomes
