R&D; Rubus Tasmania – Farm & Orchard Leading Hand
Mountain Blue Farms is looking for an experienced, hands-on team member to join our berry operations in Forcett, Tasmania.
This is a full-time permanent, primarily field-based role combining orchard work, irrigation, farm maintenance, and light team coordination — suited to someone with practical horticulture or agriculture experience.
What you'll do:
Operate tractors and spray equipment for crop care
Assist with planting, pruning, training, and harvesting
General farm and orchard maintenance.
Maintain irrigation systems, including repairs, fertiliser application, and record keeping
Perform general farm maintenance: mowing, machinery servicing, tunnel upkeep, and minor fabrication
Assist with team coordination during peak season and act as backup to the Site Manager when required
Follow and support WHS procedures, reporting hazards and keeping the farm safe and tidy




Support berry variety trials and assist with data collection as part of our ongoing R&D; program
About you:
Practical, hands-on, and willing to get involved in all areas of the farm
Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field — a Certificate III or IV in Horticulture (or equivalent industry experience) is preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions safely
Team player with a proactive attitude
Comfortable with regular outdoor physical work in all weather conditions — a genuine love of working the land is a must
