About the team
The Town's Children's Services operates two quality early childhood Centres; Wind in the Willows.
Wind in the Willows are places where childhood is cherished and children have a right to be heard.
The dynamic and highly qualified team work respectfully and cohesively in the best interest of the children and the community.
To support transparency and informed decision making, we note that the Town of Bassendean is currently reviewing the future operating arrangements for Wind in the Willows.
The Town has confirmed continued operation of the service to July ****.

About the role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Food Coordinator to plan, prepare and deliver nutritious meals and snacks that support the health, wellbeing and development of children attending our early childhood centres.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, maintaining food safety standards and contributing to a positive and welcoming environment for children, families and colleagues.
This role would suit someone with experience in food preparation, commercial kitchens, catering,
hospitality or early childhood settings who is passionate about providing high-quality meals and service.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience preparing and serving meals in a commercial kitchen, catering, hospitality, community, education or childcare environment.
Demonstrates sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and nutrition principles.
Has the ability to plan and prepare meals for a variety of dietary, cultural and allergy requirements.
Is organised, reliable and able to work independently while contributing positively to a team workplace.
Shares our commitment to supporting children and creating positive experiences for families and the community.
The following qualifications are essential:
Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate
Qualifications in hospitality, commercial cookery, nutrition or a related field.
Experience working in an early childhood, education or community-based setting is highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits
This permanent part time position attracts an hourly rate of $***** plus superannuation.
The Town also offers up to 4% additional superannuation (conditions apply), 17.5% leave loading, free parking,
ongoing training and career development, and up to two additional leave days per calendar year.
Working Hours
Our team works on a rotating roster of the Centre's operational hours, 7.15am to 5.45pm.
This role requires you to Monday to Friday, commencing at 7.30am.
