Corrections Victoria is seeking full-time prison officers to join the team at Western Plains.
The role
As a prison officer, you play a crucial part in a person's rehabilitation journey and ensure the safety and security of the facility.
Prison officers supervise daily activities, support positive behaviour, and respond to incidents to ensure the safe operation of the prison.
You will be challenged, but your resilience and dedication will help you thrive.

There are no specific professional background or qualifications needed for the role.

What's in it for you
✔ Earn up to$93,938with a base salary of $65,373 plus penalty rates and overtime
✔ Annual salary increases, 5 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave

New prison officers are eligible for a bonus of up to $8,000.
Six months after commencing, you will receive a payment of $4,000.
Then, after one year's full-time employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000.

Eligibility
You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency.
You also need to hold an Australian driver's licence (minimum P2).
