About the Role
BMD is seeking motivatedSite Engineersto join our team delivering thePalmer Wind Farm, located approximately 70km east of Adelaide.This major renewable energy project will generate up to 288MW of clean energy—enough to power more than 140,000 South Australian homes—and is a key milestone in the state's energy transition.
Working as part of an experienced delivery team, you will play a key role in the construction of critical balance-of-plant infrastructure, including wind turbine foundations, access roads, substations and transmission systems.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working onsite, taking ownership of delivery outcomes, and contributing to complex renewable energy infrastructure projects.
Key Accountabilities
Supporting delivery of civil works including:
Wind turbine foundations and hardstands
Internal access tracks and drainage infrastructure
Substations and electrical balance-of-plant infrastructure




Assisting with daily site coordination, planning and scheduling of works
Managing subcontractor activities across multiple concurrent work fronts
Interpreting drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards on a large‐scale renewable project
Monitoring progress, reporting on production, and supporting cost control
Identifying and resolving technical issues across civil and electrical interfaces
The successful candidate will be a self‐starter with:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Experience as a Site Engineer or Graduate/Junior Engineer within civil or infrastructure construction
Exposure to bulk earthworks, concrete, road construction or similar scopes (renewables experience highly regarded)
Strong understanding of site-based delivery and construction sequencing
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
A proactive, hands‐on approach and strong commitment to safety
