Permanent, Full Time Opportunity (2 Positions Available)
Salary Range - $91,162 - $98,136 plus superannuation (depending on skills and experience)

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of Mitcham as aCommunity Safety Officer, promoting compliance with key legislation and Council By-Laws to help protect public safety.
You will undertake authorised officer duties, respond to community enquiries, investigate compliance matters and provide education to encourage voluntary compliance.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will build positive relationships with the community while delivering fair, consistent and customer-focused outcomes.
About You




To be successful in this role you will have:
A professional customer-focused mindset and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Experience in undertaking a range of activities to promote compliance
Working knowledge of relevant Acts and Council By-Laws and associated regulations and codes of practice
Working knowledge of current theory and best practice regarding promoting compliance
Solid written and verbal communication skills, with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong digital literacy
Please note the Community Safety team operates between 8:00am and 7:00pm.
There are two permanent full-time positions available, with the successful applicants working one of the following standard hours:
8:54am to 5:00pm
10:54am to 7:00 pm
