About us
We are an established fresh-produce and horticultural production business based in Hillier, South Australia, growing and supplying vegetables.
We are seeking a Skilled Horticultural Worker for hands-on production and crop-care work.
Remuneration & hours
Salary package:from $71,550 per annum plus superannuation(paid in accordance with the applicable Award; commensurate with skills and experience)
Full time, ongoing position
Hours: 38 ordinary hours per week, averaged over a 4-week cycle (152 hours per 4 weeks), plus guaranteed overtime of approximately 8 hours per week (paid at overtime rates) — around 46 hours per week in total.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
Carry out skilled planting, cultivation, pruning and crop-maintenance tasks
Monitor plant health and assist with pest,
disease and nutrient management
Harvest, grade, sort and pack produce to quality standards
Operate horticultural tools and equipment
Apply irrigation, fertilising and crop-treatment programs under direction
Maintain hygiene, biosecurity and quality records
Follow WHS requirements and use personal protective equipment
Skill & Experience
About you
Relevant hands-on horticultural experience (or a relevant certificate)
Sound plant-handling and crop-care skills
Able to work outdoors across a range of conditions
Able to follow directions and work in a team
Reliable and safety-focused
