Summary
Our client JDE Homes is seeking to add a Construction Project Manager to its South Australian construction and development team.
The company delivers fixed-price property construction, development and project management services across residential, civil, industrial and commercial projects.
This role will support the planning, coordination and delivery of technically challenging building projects, while maintaining quality, budget, safety and completion requirements.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Plan, organise and manage construction projects from commencement through to practical completion.
Coordinate project resources, including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant and equipment.
Interpret architectural drawings, construction plans, engineering details and technical specifications.
Monitor project budgets, timelines, quality standards, risks and contractual obligations.
Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, clients, subcontractors and relevant authorities.
Manage procurement scheduling and ensure materials are available to meet construction milestones.
Supervise site progress and ensure works align with approved plans and specifications.
Coordinate inspections, approvals and documentation required by councils and regulatory bodies.
Ensure adherence to workplace health, safety, building and performance standards.
Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare project reports, progress updates,



cost reviews and construction documentation.
Manage project variations, delays, defects and implementation of corrective actions.
Lead subcontractors and site teams to achieve quality and programme outcomes.
Support tender preparation, contract administration and construction methodology recommendations.
Maintain professional communication with clients to support cost-effective project delivery.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
Minimum ten years of relevant experience in construction project management or building project delivery.
Robust ability to manage residential, commercial, civil or industrial construction projects from start to finish.
Demonstrated experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, consultants, suppliers, plant, equipment and site resources.
Sound knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, building processes, safety obligations and quality standards.
Proven ability to monitor project costs, budgets, schedules, risks, variations and completion deadlines.
Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, architects, engineers, authorities and internal project teams.
Practical experience resolving construction issues and recommending cost-effective building methods or project solutions.
Ability to work without direct supervision while maintaining accurate project records and professional standards.
